What is the Segway Personal Transporter?
The Segway Personal Transporter is the first ever self-balancing, electric-powered transportation device. With dimensions no larger than the average adult body and the ability to emulate human balance, the Segway uses the same space as a pedestrian, and can go wherever a person can walk.
How does the Segway work?
Dynamic stabilization is the essence of the Segway. Dynamic stabilization enables the Segway to work seamlessly with the body’s movements. Gyroscopes and tilt sensors in the unit monitor a rider’s center of gravity at about 100 times a second. When the rider leans slightly forward, the Segway moves forward. When the rider leans slightly back, the Segway moves backward.
How safe is the Segway?
The utmost care and research has gone into ensuring that the Segway is safe. The Segway’s balancing technology is truly revolutionary and provides an exceptional riding experience. The Segway has redundant systems and sophisticated alerts built into its design, and many thousands of hours of use have demonstrated that the Segway is safe when used appropriately. It is important that Segway riders understand their responsibility to ride safely. Proper skill level and understanding of the Segway prevents injuries caused by loss of control or misuse.
Are the glides cancelled in case of rain?
No, we do not stop for the weather. The Segway have no problem riding in rain. All weather rainproof jackets are provided.

How long does the Tour last?
Both the Day and Night tours typically last between 1 to 2 hours (including training).
How far in advance do I need to reserve?
You can always check if there are places available on the same day of your glide. However it is quite possible that there will be no places. We suggest you reserve as much in advance as you can to secure your desired date and tour.
Are Segway ® safe for children or people with disabilities?
Segways are perfectly safe for all ages!! Each of our glides begins with 2 minute, yes, 2 minute, training session in the plaza next to our office. We will practice on the Segway so that everyone feels comfortable and ready to go out and tour.
